Our private terrace is gently embraced by nature in its most authentic form. Rather than shaping and taming the landscape, we chose to let it remain wild and tell its own story. The terrace blends seamlessly into the woodland behind the house, where the branches of a majestic spruce may brush softly overhead and the sweet scent of blooming elderflowers drifts through the air.
Each season brings its own unique charm.
In spring, the forest awakens with life. You may discover morel mushrooms – among the most prized wild mushrooms in Slovenia – growing nearby, or gather fragrant elderflowers from the terrace to make homemade tea and refreshing seasonal drinks.
Summer invites slower days, with pleasant afternoon shade and magical sunrises that paint the Karavanke Mountains in soft morning light.
In autumn, the surrounding landscape transforms into a tapestry of warm, almost storybook colours, while winter reveals breathtaking views of the snow-covered peaks beyond.
And if luck is on your side, one of the woodland’s wild residents may make a brief appearance. One visitor, however, is almost guaranteed: our friendly cat Bina, who loves stopping by to say hello and brightens your day.
